Fused Glass Holiday Ornaments
December 19th, sessions available at 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm and 4:00pm

45 minutes of fused glass fun! Held outside in the LibertyTown Courtyard, this class is a great way to bond with the family while getting out of the house and still practice social distancing! Gayla will guide you though the steps to make your very own Holiday Themed Ornament!!

Introduction to Glass Fusing
Location: LibertyTown Arts Workshop, 916 Liberty Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
No glass making experience required!
This course is offered on Wednesday afternoons or on Thursday evenings. It will introduce students to the possibilities of fused glass. Over 4 weeks, students will learn to cut, fuse and slump glass. We will cover many techniques to create jewelry, functional dishes, wall hangings and decorative art. This class is ideal for beginners and new glass fusers who want to improve their technique and understanding of fused glass.
Fused Glass Pattern Bars
Location: Workhouse Arts Center, 9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton, VA 22079
Experiment with color and geometry as you learn techniques for building patterns in cross section with fused glass pattern bars. Students will make several styles of pattern bars and will work to produce 1-2 finished projects. Students can expect to have left over stock to use in future work. No glass working experience is required; advanced students also are welcome.
Glass Casting & Pate De Verre
Location: Workhouse Arts Center, 9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton, VA 22079
Beginner-Advanced Skill Level: Young Adults & Adults
In this class we will learn to make open faced molds for casting glass. Students will try several techniques, firing temperatures, and methods of color application so that they can experience the possibilities for color, form, and texture in cast glass. No glass working experience is required; advanced students also are welcome.
Glass Fusing: Reactive Colors
Location: The Corning Museum on Glass, 1 Museum Way, Corning NY 14830
No glassworking experience is required.
Learn about the reactive potential of Bullseye Glass in kiln fusing. With testing and experimentation, students will develop a catalog of colors and effects to understand how chemical reactions can bring added depth, texture and flair to their glass designs.
